Cold Brew vs. Iced Coffee

We are often asked about the difference between our Cold Brew Coffee and Iced Coffee and if there are any benefits to drinking Cold Brew vs. traditionally hot brewed coffee?

Chatterbox cold brew coffee is created by steeping medium-to-coarse ground coffee beans in chilled water for 12-24 hours using special filters for a clean cup of coffee. Unlike regular coffee, cold brew is never exposed to heat. Cold brew uses time, rather than heat to extract the coffee’s oils, sugars, and caffeine while producing a coffee with 67% less acid compared to traditionally brewed coffee. Iced coffee is created like any regular hot coffee brew method. It’s simply hot coffee that has been cooled down so that it can be poured over ice.

What are the benefits of cold brew coffee vs. traditionally brewed coffee?

Less acidic - A study done within the industry shows that cold brewed coffee can have up to 67% less acid than hot brewed coffee. With tens of millions of coffee lovers suffering from acid sensitivity, this is good news.

It tastes better - Since our coffee grounds are not exposed to heat, our coffee usually tastes sweeter, smoother and more flavorful with less bitterness.

Its flexible - Cold Brew coffee can be served in any way hot brew coffee can be served. Serve it hot or cold and get the same smooth taste.
